JOSEPH (SKIP) CAVANAUGH pursued his professional training at the Virginia School of the Arts & later graduated with honors from the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Professional Division. He worked with & performed for such choreographers as Jose` Garant, Dwight Rhoden, Emery Lecrone, Adam Houghland, and Alejandro Cerrudo. Joseph has danced for Ballet AZ since 2001 where he has been featured in such ballets as Giselle, Movements, Serenade, Off Screen, and Scarlet Symphony.  Joseph has been teaching around the valley for the past 8 years and around North America for the past 6.  He is also on faculty for Artists in Training which is based out of Los Angeles.

He also danced featured roles in Ib Anderson's Amoroso, Indigio Rhapsody, & the Nutcracker and Dwight Rhoden's Ave Maria and George Balanchine's Agon & Stravinsky's Violin Concerto . Joseph has also performed in many other ballets including Midsummers Night Dream, Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Ib Anderson's Coppelia.
